Wild Food Festival & Blenheim

I’m going to the Wild Food Festival in Hokitika this weekend which is something I’ve wanted to do for ages. My husband and I have talked about it for the past five years and now we’re finally going to do it. I love visiting the South Island and the West Coast is unique. After that I’m spending a few days in Blenheim to do research at a vineyard for my current book, which is set – surprise! surprise! – in a vineyard in Marlborough. I’d be the first to admit there’s definitely some fringe benefits to being a writer and if they come in the form of a nice glass of Marlborough Sauvingon Blanc then all the better. I’m also  giving a talk at Marlborough District Library, 33 Arthur Street, Blenheim on the evening of March 14th at 5:30pm. Gold coin donation.  RSVP to the library by Friday 11 March 03 520 7491. Would love to see you.

Best Wishes,

    Hi Michelle
You are a braver man than I Gunga Din! I hear that some of the food is unusually exotic to use a euphemism :) Having said that, I am also a little jealous… One day we will take our mobile home and “do” the South Island. Enjoy your time away, and please let us know how you found it!
